About depression:

Avoid drugs. Avoid MDs who push drugs. To stop depression, stop causes of depression. There are many possible causes of depression. Stop all of them, or as many as you can. Then you won't have depression.

Maybe the cause is MSG. Stop MSG. Maybe the cause is aspartame. Stop aspartame. Maybe the cause is deficiency of long-chain omega-3. Take some fish oil. Maybe the cause is lack of sleep. Get some sleep. There are dozens of possible causes of depression. Live healthy.

Most doctors are not interested in helping you to stop depression or to improve health in any way. Most doctors are interested in pushing drugs (= poisons). Tell them to go to h... Some drug pushers are prosecuted by the law and go to jail, but MDs (Medical Deities) are above the law.

What drug-pushing MDs want is to make you dependent on drugs. They want you to take a drug again and again. And then they want you to take more drugs. And they want you to take drugs for the rest of your life. They moderate the dose so they don't kill you. They want you to stay alive so they can continue to push drugs on you. That's how MDs make money.

People get sucked into the MD racket because they don't educate themselves and they worship MDs (Medical Deities). Medical Deities encourage people to not educate themselves and to not think for themselves and to worship Medical Deities.

The point that the researchers noted was that psychopaths seem to have trouble monitoring their own speech. What is more, they often put things together in strange ways, such as this series of remarks from serial killer Clifford Olson: "And then I had annual sex with her." "Once a year?" "No. Annual. From behind." "Oh. But she was dead!" "No, no. She was just unconscientious." About his many experiences, Olson said, "I've got enough antidotes to fill five or six books - enough for a trilogy." He was determined not to be an "escape goat" no matter what the "migrating facts." [Hare, Without Conscience]

The same question is posed by Castaneda's Don Juan:

I want to appeal to your analytical mind, ' don Juan said. 'Think for a moment, and tell me how you would explain the contradiction between the intelligence of man the engineer and the stupidity of his systems of beliefs, or the stupidity of his contradictory behavior. Sorcerers believe that the predators have given us our systems of beliefs, our ideas of good and evil, our social mores. They are the ones who set up our hopes and expectations and dreams of success or failure. They have given us covetousness, greed and cowardice. It is the predators who make us complacent, routinary, and egomaniacal.
In order to keep us obedient and meek and weak, the predators engaged themselves in a stupendous maneuver - stupendous, of course, from the point of view of a fighting strategist. A horrendous maneuver from the point of view of those who suffer it. They gave us their mind! Do you hear me? The predators give us their mind, which becomes our mind. […] Through the mind, which, after all, is their mind, the predators inject into the lives of human beings whatever is convenient for them.[Castaneda, The Active Side of Infinity]

The problem is also delineated by Georges Gurdjieff:

"So that in the actual situation of humanity there is nothing that points to evolution proceeding. On the contrary when we compare humanity with a man, we quite clearly see a growth of personality at the cost of essence, that is, a growth of the artificial, the unreal, and what is foreign, at the cost of the natural, the real, and what is one's own.
"Together with this, we see a growth of automatism.
"Contemporary cultures requires automatons. […] One thing alone is certain, that man's slavery grows and increases. Man is becoming a willing slave. He no longer needs chains. He begins to grow fond of his slavery, to be proud of it. And this is the most terrible thing that can happen to a man. [Gurdjieff, op. cit]
"Discussing the influence of television, Daniel Boorstin wrote:
'Here at last is a supermarket of surrogate experience. Successful programming offers entertainment -- under the guise of instruction; instruction -- under the guise of entertainment; political persuasion -- with the appeal of advertising; and advertising -- with the appeal of drama.'

If Santayana is correct in saying that "perhaps the true dignity of man is his ability to despise himself," the psychopath is without a means to acquire true dignity.
